My friend Anastasia is expecting a baby, a little girl named Alexandra — due in just a few weeks! So a couple of months ago we showered her with a “Girly Floral” theme party, with tons of pinks and flowers galore! This one is by far one my favorite baby showers I’ve planned. So today I wanted to share some of my favorite details from the event.
The mommy to be loves flowers and pink just as much as I do, so it was no brainer that pink and flowers would be the “theme”. We wanted the décor to feel fresh and feminine. Lucklily for us the shower was tight in the middle of peony season, so we were able to incorporate beautiful peony blooms into the décor.
Beautiful floral arrangements were displayed throughout the venue, including on the show-stopping lemon cake.
Read below for more on my favorite details! Hope you love this baby shower as much as I did!
The baby shower was held at my friends community clubhouse and we were somewhat limited as to what we could do with the walls. This was a bit of a challenge for me. After all, I do love a big dessert table backdrop! So I decided to go with large letter balloons. This was an easy and inexpensive way to add pizzazz and glam to the dessert table.
For dessert I went with an assorment of pastries, chocolate covered strawberries and cupcakes.
And of course we had not one but TWO cakes! My lemon curd cake (mommy to be’s request) and a chocolate cake! Both cakes were decorated with flowers and a cake topper.
Nothing says celebration quite like some bubbly! So for the baby shower we had a DIY mimosa bar. Guests were able to create their own mimosas and sip and swoon over the mommy to be!
Monogrammed cups and beverage napkins from Sequins & Lipstick Paper Co. were the perfect touch for the mimosa bar.
The flower bar served as a favor station. Each guest was able to pick their favorite flowers and wrapped them in pretty gift wrap and pink ribbons to bring home. This station was a hit. We could not pull guests away from it!
