This weekend I hosted a Valentines “No Boys Allowed” party for my girls. We made Valentines and had yummy treats. It was so girly and so much fun. Believe it or not this was a last minute affair and I was able to put it all together in a manner of hours using a few new v-day items and things I already had at home. So if you are thinking about hosting a Valentines Day party and you are looking for easy ideas read below!
For the décor I dressed up my dessert and crafts table with Valentine’s colors red and pink. It’s such a beautiful and fun color combo. A couple of weeks ago on one of those random Target runs I went by their “dollar spot” and hit the Valentine’s Day jackpot! They had the cutest and inexpensive v-day decor and craft supplies. I was able to get so many goodies like the “No Allowed” banner and the cute heart drink stirrers.
Luxmy Tip: You can always find great things at Target’s dollar spot, but if you go early in the season you’ll be able to find more variety. Plus, that’s when they put out the best stuff!
For the sweets and drinks I went with girls favorites.
The strawberry cake was one of my favorites. There something about a pink cake with flowers that makes my heart pitter-patter! These grocery store bought carnations were the perfect girly touch.
Luxmy Tip: If you are not a baker or you just don’t have the time to bake go BOXED!
We also had chocolate cupcakes topped with sprinkles and heart candies and yogurt cups topped with berries.
My girls love strawberry milk and to glam it up I rimmed the glasses with strawberry frosting and red sprinkles. Topped with a pink flower and heart stirrers, these strawberry milk shots were to pretty to sip!
Now on to the crafting! We made Valentines using heart shape cards and stickers all from Target. This was so much fun!
And for the finale we decorated heart shape cookies!
And that was our Saturday afternoon! Hope your Valentine’s Day celebration is a success!
